Unspoiled culture and landscapes: this is what describes best Bhutan. Do not rely on the country's small size, it has so much to offer that you will never have enough time to discover everything. It is also a country full of surprises, where rice is red and where chillies aren't just a seasoning but the main ingredient.
Several of the attractions to do in this small country include Gom Kora - an extrodinary picturesque temple -, Phobjikha - a bowl-shaped glacial valley on the western slopes of the Black Mountains-, or the Punakha Dzong - the second dzong to be built in Bhutan.
A lot of events and festivals also take place everywhere in the country throughout the year: the Lhuntse Tshechu - a religious festival celebrated in November in the district of Lhuntse during three days-, or the Chorten Kora Festival in Trashiyangste (the easternmost district of Bhutan), to mention just a few.
