Classic Barcelona and Artistic Barcelona with Lunch

In Barcelona, history and traditions go hand in hand with emerging fashion and new trends in cuisine, culture and art. Barcelona offers the possibility to enjoy the sea as well as the mountains. Here is an itinerary that will allow you to enjoy the most emblematic sights the city has to offer.
 
The first part of the visit consists in a guided walking tour through the small and narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter, the oldest part of the city. During this early visit we will see Las Ramblas, de Cathedral Square, The Cathedral, the Old Jewish Quarter, among other interesting places. You will be given of some free time to visit the Cathedral by yourself.
 
Later we will take our bus to start with a panoramic tour around the rest of the city. We will pass through the elegant Passeig de Gràcia Street, where there are located two of the most important Gaudi’s buildings (Casa Batlló and Casa Milà “la Pedrera”), the Triumph Arc, the Olympic Village and the Olympic Port. For the next part of the visit we will access to the Montjuic Mountain. This is an important place because was the main scenery of the Olympic Games in the 1992. We will see the Olympic stadium from the bus and later we will have the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views of the city riding the aerial tramway (subject to the weather conditions). For the next part we will visit the Montjuïc Castle. Its origins date back to 1640, being the oldest fortress in the city. During the centuries has been a watcher tower, dungeon, execution centre and, above all, an ideal viewpoint to know what’s going on from a bird’s eye-view. Today, it is an incomparable landscape to enjoy a 360º panoramic picture of Barcelona and being part of the numerous social, civil and cultural events taking place here. Take a trip to Barcelona's hectic past and enjoy the most privileged views of the city.
 
After the visit of the Spanish village, we will leave the Montjuïc behind and go back down to the city center. During the drive back to the city center you will be able to admire the Venetian Towers, the Montjuïc fountains, the MNAC and the CC, “Las Arenas” rebuilt over the ancient “Plaza de Toros” (bullrings). We will arrive to Catalunya square, in front of the Hard Rock Café, where we offer the burger lunch option that includes a choice of Main Course: Hard Rock Burger/Hard Rock Cheeseburger/Veggie Burger/Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich. Choice of Beverage: Soft Drink, Coffee or Tea. For those who have chosen the Paella option, they will have to walk a few meters until the beginning of Las Ramblas, where the Restaurant Núria is Located. You will have approximately 1hour 15 min time for lunch between both parts of the excursion. Then you will have to go to the Julià Travel Office, ten minutes walking distance from both restaurants. Once back in the office, please remember that you will have to check-in again for the second part of the tour.
 
Barcelona is known as the capital of Modernism and the place where the famous architect Antoni Gaudí worked and lived. Gaudi, one of the greatest innovators of his time, has left behind numerous treasures for the discerning tourist to discover in Barcelona. This Artistic Tour of Barcelona starts at Balmes 5, we will take you to the Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) Basilica, Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece which is Barcelona's most famous landmark. The guide will take you on a walking tour of the exterior of the Sagrada Familia, to admire the richly and symbolically decorated facades, where vaults reach up to seventy meters. Next you will discover Gaudi's bizarre Park Güell which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be careful, it's easy to get lost in the whimsical design of this bizarre but compelling public park with a perfect integration of the architectural elements in nature. For ending we will enjoy a walking tour to Passeig de Gràcia to see Gaudi's famous apartment buildings like Casa Mila “La Pedrera”, Casa Batlló and others modernist buildings. The tour ends near the Casa Batlló - Passeig de Gràcia, 43.
