DAY 1 - Fly to Saigon

Fly overnight to Saigon.

 

DAY 2 -  Arrive & Explore

On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

 

DAY 3 - Discover Saigon

Get to grips with the horrors of guerrilla warfare at the astonishing Cu Chi Tunnels before returning to Saigon. Experience Vietnam's colonial past at Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Also visit the Reunification Palace and the chilling War Remnants Museum

 

DAY 4 - Mekong Delta Cruise

Journey to Ben tre to take a cruise on the Mekong River. Paddle through the maze of palm-lined canals and get a glimpse of daily life on the Mekong Delta. Make a stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda en route back to Saigon..

 

DAY 5 - Journey to Hoi An

Fly to Danang and transfer to Hoi An. This afternoon take a walking tour of charming Hoi An - wonderfully laid back and a willfully traditional place, whose streets are a delight to wander. Visit an old merchants house, the elaborate Japanese Bridge and a bustling market.

 

DAY 6 - Tra Que Village

Drive out into the countryside to Tra Que, a small farming community that supplies many hotels and restaurants in the area with vegetables and herbs. Here you can enjoy the lush green countryside and stroll through the gardens to see the farmers at work. This afternoon can be spent on the nearby Cua Dai beach or with a free afternoon back in Hoi An.

 

DAY 7 - Imperial Citadel, Hue

Leave Hoi An for Hue via a scenic route over the Hai Van Pass. The epitome of Vietnams dynastic past, Hue is a dignified city. Visit the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City before exploring the Royal Tomb of Minh Mang; this complex comprises of almost 40 monuments and is surrounded by gardens and pools. Continue by road to Thien Mu Pagoda and take a cruise on the Perfume River before returning to your hotel in Hue.

 

DAY 8 - Royal Tombs, Fly to Hanoi

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Royal Tomb of Minh Mang, a complex of 40 monuments set in surroundings of gardens and pools. Continue to the old Thien Mu Pagoda before taking a cruise on the Perfume River. Fly to Hanoi.

 

DAY 9 - Discover Hanoi

Sightseeing today includes a wander through the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, where you will pass Ho Chi Minhs Mausoleum and visit the Stilt House set in the gardens of the Presidential Palace. Also visit One Pillar Pagoda and the Confucian Temple of Literature. End the days exploration with a walk through the Old Quarter and enjoy a traditional water puppet show.

 

DAY 10-11 Halong Bay Junk Cruise

Spend the day aboard a traditional junk cruising amongst the karst peaks on the tranquil green waters of Halong Bay. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a vision of awe-inspiring beauty, it is not hard to see why it is one of Vietnam's most popular destinations. A fresh seafood meal is included during your voyage. Stay overnight. The next day enjoy a Halong Bay sunrise and visit the Sung Sot Cave, return to Hanoi.

 

DAY 12 - Fly Hanoi to Ireland

Fly to Ireland, arriving home the same or following day.
