The Occidental Grand Punta Cana Hotel is on the eastern tip of the country in the centre of the Bavaro beach area. Bavaro Beach is a 2 mile stretch of fine white sand. The coral reef protects the beach and almost forms a natural swimming pool. The beach is thought of as one of the top ten in the world and is edged with palms, has clear water and fine sand. *Please note:* All visitors to the Dominican Republic will require a passport which is valid for six months upon arrival to the country and for the entire duration of their planned stay.
