Chavanel Hotel Location This appealing hotel is located at the heart of the fashion and theatre district, just a few minutes walk from Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the legendary department stores and the Opéra Garnier. Scores of shops, restaurants, and excellent public transport links are directly in front of the hotel and it is 35 minutes drive to Orly or Charles de Gaulle airports. Facilities Renovated in 2006, the air-conditioned hotel consists of 6 floors with a total of 34 rooms over 6 floors. It is a typical Hausmann building from the last century and includes a small lounge, a 24-hour reception with a safe and a lift as well as a cosy reading corner with a good choice of books about Paris. In addition, there is a restaurant, public Internet access (WLAN) and a laundry service (for an additional fee). Furthermore, there is a car park for those arriving by car. Rooms The comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, Internet access, a minibar, a double bed, individual air conditioning, central heating and a safe as standard. How to get there By car from Charles de Gaulle Airport: head south towards Paris Centre on the A1 motorway then take the outer ring road (périphérique extérieur) west and turn off at Porte Maillot. From here, follow the directions for Place Charles de Gaulle Etoile, then Concorde by driving down the Champs-Elysees. Then, on Place de la Concorde, drive towards Madeleine; go halfway round the Place de la Madeleine, and take Rue Tronchet: the hotel is on the right side, number 22. By car from Orly Airport: head north towards Paris Centre on the A6 motorway then take the inner ring road (périphérique intérieur) north and turn off at Porte Maillot. Follow directions above from here. - By metro or express suburban train (RER): Metro: MADELEINE (lines 8, 12 and 14) or HAVRE-CAUMARTIN (lines 3 and 9) RER: AUBER (line A).
