Welcome to Westin

Westin

The Westin is a beautiful, understated and thoughtful addition to Dublin's deluxe hotels. Every effort has been made to blend into the surroundings, and no expense has been spared to ensure the highest levels of comfort. It is also hard to imagine a better location in Dublin. (BL 06/2007) ## Location The Westin is positioned in the centre of the city, opposite Trinity College, on the corner of College Street and Westmoreland Street, directly opposite Temple Bar. ## Distance 11 kms to the nearest airport (dublin airport) 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station (tara street) 4 km to the nearest station (heuston) 5 km to the nearest fair site (rds) ## Rooms Each room offers the new Westin 'Heavenly' beds, featuring layer upon layer of cosy down bedding. All rooms have air-conditioning and Internet access via the TV, and a fully stocked mini-bar. There are discreet laptop sized safes in every room. The rooms are furnished in rich, warm colours, and have a feel of traditional sophistication. The hotel also has a number of individually designed suites named after famous Irish writers. ## Restaurant The Exchange, the hotel's main restaurant, is light and airy, and the décor is dinstinctly 1930's art deco, in contrast to the traditional opulence of the hotel. The cuisine is modern international, using Irish ingredients. The Atrium Lounge is a unique feature, with its palm trees and glass roof offering an elegant oasis in the middle of the bustle of Dublin City centre. There is a bar that offers an intimate surrounding amongst the nooks and crannies of the old banking vaults. Order a drink or bar food over the old serving counter, surrounded by slate flooring and dark wood panelling. ## Exterior Opened in September 2001, in the buildings formerly occupied by the Allied Irish Bank and Pearl buildings dating from 1863, the hotel has restored the buildings to their former splendour. ## Lobby The lobby is grand and impressive, with opulent marble pillars and tall mahogany doorways. Open fireplaces add a traditional warm welcome.
