Welcome to The Olsen - Art Series

The property is infused with the lyrical works of revered Australian Landscape artist Dr John Olsen, who is regarded as one of Australias greatest living painters and won the Archibald Prize in 2005 for his portrait Self Portrait Janus Faced. Dr Olsen is best known for his lively paintings, water colours, and etchings of all things great and small, and the Australian outback - in particular his work depicting central Australia and Lake Eyre. A breathtaking mural and sculpture greet you on arrival and large prints adorn all hallways and suites, including 16 originals and 840 framed prints. The mezzaine level features the spectacular heated outdoor glass bottom pool, with Chapel Street shoppers below. The hotel employs a in-house art curator who runs tours of the property for guests, providing insights into Olsens art. Please note this is a non smoking property. Offering open plan suites throughout 14 levels of accommodation, with plenty of natural light, fresh air and full kitchenette with designer fittings.
