Welcome to Christchurch

Christ Church parish is one of the eleven historic political divisions of Barbados. It has a land of 57km square and is situated at the southern end of the island. Christ Church has survived its name as one of the original six parishes created in 1639 by Governor Sir William Tufton. Under Barbados historic Vestry, the main parish church was originally seated near Dover, it was then relocated to Oistins area becoming the main town and former capital of the parish.
